Why on earth did they remove it in the first place? Seems so weird and arbitrary.

Maybe some Apple intern was cleaning up code and broke it by mistake?
No, they completely changed how the calculator worked, so probably rewrote a lot of code. Now, you can see not just the current number you’re typing, but the whole operation.

I would like to open more than one calculator at the same time on the Mac, you know? In Windows I can open several calculators next to each other.

This feature has been available in traditional and Windows calculators for decades.
I can't count the number of basic, practical things that took (or will take) Apple forever to implement. Or re-implement in this case.

- Mac does that!!
