I think it’s unrelated, as you suggest. I see terrible latency intermittently with the App Store: spinning progress wheels after every tap, apps sitting there after updating, etc. Since my WiFi connection is solid everywhere else, I’ve guessed that the problem is either on Apple’s side, or that my ISP is throttling App Store connections at times. 🤷♂️One issue where updated apps would just sit with an open status is resolved. They are now dropping to the bottom when update is completed.
Apps seem to update quicker too, but may be unrelated to updated OS.
Apple Intelligence never was implemented on 13 and 14 by Apple.Updated earlier also however, I am still looking for an answer as to why Apple removed Apple Intelligence from phone such as iPhone 13 pro and 14 pro...doesn't make sense and wondered whether it's to force an upgrade to the later models or something else...dying to find out...
I still not understand...when I upgrade to IOS 18.1 on my 13 pro, it had Apple Intelligence...from Apple. Sadly, I never tried it to learn functionality issue because couple days later IOS 18.3 had came out and I updated only to discovered it was gone and Apple had treated the update as a must have. I wondered those who hacked their phone are having any performance issue with lack of adequate RAM. I am not interested in the hack.Apple Intelligence never was implemented on 13 and 14 by Apple.
There was a flaw allowing the MobileGestalt file on the old iPhones to be hacked until 18.2. This was patched by Apple. But you only got the new look never functionality.
The old iPhone simply don’t have enough RAM to run Intelligence proper.

Only 6 pages to read 🙂 Or, you could install it yourself 👍 No problems with 16PM, here. The beta 2 is out since few days now.
Can you please share your feedback about battery life, performance and reliability?
Thanks
Too early to comment on batterie but performance and stability is great. The beta 2 is out since few days now.

Plus you needed to download the AI model again, which probably took lots of battery power.Too early to comment on batterie but performance and stability is great.
(a few days? It arrived Monday 19:20 (local time) - Tuesday - Wednesday 11:30 now ... a bit more than a day 🙂)
It’s by far no groundbreaking stuff. For me in Germany it was thrilling to finally get all of this new stuff with the beta of iOS 18.4 - that was mainly the reason to jump on the beta train so early this time.Yep, it gets warm immediately. To be honest though, Image Playground is something I genuinely have zero use for. The Ai stuff on iOS in general seems to be a bit of a non-starter for iOS 18. What's there feels like garbage. I'd stick to the third party apps for now.
If I'm completely honest, there isn't much to recommend iOS 18.4. The beta seems to work ok but I'm struggling to find any real value. I guess the clean up tool in Photos is nice. A very small feature though - wouldn't miss it if it was not there.
Beta 1 was terrible for me after a couple of days. Beta 2 feels fine now, way less battery drain in regular usage.Plus you needed to download the AI model again, which probably took lots of battery power.
Far too early to say something.
Both very good - 16 Pro Max. No bugs to report. The beta 2 is out since few days now.

The feature I'm really missing (In The EU) is iPhone mirroring to Mac. I can't fathom the supposed issues involved in implementing this. I'd like to view 'my' phone on 'my' Mac...there isn't a privacy issue. Crazy times. It’s by far no groundbreaking stuff. I already had huge fun creating my best friends with Genmoji and we really had to laugh a lot about it. But it’s nothing that I urgently need. Furthermore the image creation apps feel still very buggy and sluggish, can’t be because of the beta version because this was introduced with earlier versions.
What I like is the new Siri animation and the Chat GPT integration. See the usecase to let written text checked or summarised. Other stuff like „visual intelligence“ and all the sorting of messages and notifications are nice.
Magic eraser worked in my second test much better than before.
Overall it’s a nice package to get as a iPhone 15 Pro user. A lot of new stuff 1 1/2 years after buying this phone.
I won’t complain about but apple needs to accelerate with their AI stuff. Hoping for the „on screen“ awareness and some useful cases.

Absolutely !!The EU sticking their beaks where they have no business to I assume…again!
Yes, 15 Pro users should be able to add it to the action button and control center on this beta.Is Visual Intelligence now available for the 15 Pro Max? From an article on 15.4 new features. View attachment 2488575
