iOS 18.5 Beta 4 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Performance has definitely improved with PB3 on my 16e over PB2.

Too soon to judge but the battery seems to be draining a little quick while the install and indexing finishes.

Battery life is much better for me also with the latest beta update.

Out of curiosity is anyone else experiencing issues with Siri and it saying it can’t calculate the travel time to a location?

Despite having everything set up correctly if I ask how long it’ll take me to get to work it keeps telling me it can’t tell how long it will take to get there.

However if I mention the name of the business and the road it’s on… no problem 🤷🏻‍♂️

Have reported it.

Mine seems OK at present but I have had several instances where the messages notification sound was suddenly at full volume even though the volume slider (not linked to the side buttons) is at 50%. Moving the volume slider seems to restore correct sound level. Make sure you report this in the feedback app..... I have twice.
 
I've been staying away from the beta's for a while BUT I needed the new MVNO Carrier Bundle (VVM and RCS would not function with out it) for my US Mobile secondary line so I jumped in...

My 15 PM started out warm and I had to reset network settings to force the download of the bundle but now I have VVM and RCS on both of my lines. ! :)

I’m not sure if this was an issue with earlier betas but Car Scanner does not display the dashboard in CarPlay. It connects normally but the dashboard is blank.
It works fine on the actual phone (16PM).
Seems strange that it would display fine on the phone but not in CarPlay as it’s just a mirror.
 
It’s been a good few days now since the update & battery life has been improving each day on my 16e.

Almost back to where it was on 18.4, let’s hope for further improvements with the next beta/RC.

I can't say the same. It's improved yes. But nowhere near what previous years were in stability from Apple. Plus all the AI stuff they have added, none of them have been used beyond the initial trial again due to all the limitations and cartnoonish nature of it all.

I’m finding if you login to a website using credentials that you’ve logged under a different site in the passwords app and select the ‘use password once’ option in the popup dialogue it still adds a new entry in the passwords app (there is a separate option to explicitly add a new entry).

iMessage photos show in the text thread but not in the photo gallery in iMessage for just some contacts. Others are working fine. Hope they fix this. Anyone else having iMessage issues?
 
Have they fixed the no sound notifications on the mail app yet? Mine still has no sound notifications
