I'm on 18.6.2 and had both options, update to 18.7 or 26 on my 16 pro.Do I have to download this before I download 26?
26 didn’t appear for me when I checked for a software update.

Any particlular reason you want to do it from the Mac? I know a full memory is one reason and doing it via the computer saves you the hassle of deleting stuff.Help! Finder doesn't show 18.7, only 26.0. Can it only be updated via OTA, or do I need to do something in Finder?
I want to stay on 18.7 on all my devices, and I like to update them from my Mac.
Perhaps it's more of a habit or obsession to perform these updates using a cable connected to a computer. I don't have any tangible evidence, but I have noticed poorer performance when updating via OTA in the past.Any particlular reason you want to do it from the Mac? Finder only shows the latest version as an update. If you want to update to 18.7 either download the IPSW or OTA.Help! Finder doesn't show 18.7, only 26.0. Can it only be updated via OTA, or do I need to do something in Finder?

Give it a day or two to settle. Hard to tell what type of updates that are included in this fix.18.7 causes my battery to drain faster and heat up more! iPhone 16e.
It is likely, outside of the iDevices that don't get 26, that will be "Never." Apple usually ONLY releases OTA updates once they've released new .0 major releases. Like jerks. (Because it forces folks on eligible devices to the newer major release.)Any guesses on when the IPSW for iOS 18.7 will show up on ipsw.me?
Well 17.7 was released as an IPSW too, so they do release IPSW for devices that can be updated. But I would say if 18.7 is released, based on history it will prob be the last IPSW we will see for versions that can be updated. It is likely, outside of the iDevices that don't get 26, that will be "Never." Strange, is your own phone and not a device that's managed via your company or similar? My iPhone 13pro is currently on version 18.6.2. The system shows that there is an update, but the update page keeps showing "checking for update" and cannot be updated to 18.7. I tried restarting the phone many times, but it still remains the same.
it's my phone. I've done OTA upgrade for many times, no this issue before.Strange, is your own phone and not a device that's managed via your company or similar?
You using any networking software or similar that could cause this behavior?
Have you tried a forced restart? (volume up, volume down and hold the right button for 30 seconds)?
Does the wifi/network work ok in general or do you have other issues?
Very strange, especially since your 11 got it. Good thing it got sorted in the end.it's my phone. I've done OTA upgrade for many times, no this issue before.
I've also done forced restart, wifi works well and network is also stable and fast
My iphone 11 got the 18.7 upgrade

No ipsw for 18.7 at least until now.Well 17.7 was released as an IPSW too, so they do release IPSW for devices that can be updated. But I would say if 18.7 is released, based on history it will prob be the last IPSW we will see for versions that can be updated.
