A workaround is to create a shortcut to toggle WiFi, add the WiFi icon to the shortcut, then add the shortcut to control center.

Hmm in the last beta, I had the emoji button in the bottom left of the keyboard area and I loved that cause I could tap between emoji and keyboard in one tap.

now they reverted keyboard changes to move emoji button next to spacebar, NOT A FAN. Grr.

EDIT: Fixed it!

Remove the secondary Spanish keyboard from Settings, then add it again and it will ask you if you want to combine them into one single bilingual keyboard then it adds the emoji button to the bottom left keyboard area how i like it.

When large icons are enabled, the folders in the App Library don't crash anymore when scrolling. The icons still seem a bit too large for the folders though, not sure if that's final or if it'll change.

This beta is likely the feature-complete release which is going to be flashed onto factory iPhone 16 devices. I don't think it will return if it was removed this late in the beta cycle.

No, they flash the RC build. Had every iPhone released to date and the only beta build I ever encountered was 13b8 due to sanction fears back then (where they had to cut the beta cycle short). They can flash the builds on packaged hardware nowadays anyways in store and the factories flash devices after they’re assembled.

The one item that I can't seem to find a fix or workaround for is the connect your energy account message at the top of the home app. Does anyone know of a way to dismiss this and get rid of it? I figured by now that would have been addressed with a simple N/A dismissal option.

Mine is still bottom left, as it should be if you have only one keyboard installed. When you add other keyboards, it changes that emoji button to the international keyboard button to switch between them all.

Well that's crap. All my Home shortcuts (to scenes and individual lights) have been wiped, although when I click to edit any of them the scene name and light name is correct. Have to reselect them though.

Plus, the new "Bluetooth" toggle doesn't actually turn Bluetooth off, so I'm keeping my shortcut which does.

I am worried because from what I remember you need to pay for the dev beta .

Edit: It's free! You can pay to be an official developer, but it seems that getting access to any of the betas (dev and public) is free of charge. You 100% won't be charged anything extra for installing betas.

You don't need to pay to install developer betas. Apple made it free a while back.

I fixed it. They added a feature where you can combine both keyboards into a single bilingual keyboard for English and Spanish. I just had to remove the Spanish keyboard then re-add it and the workflow asked me if I wanted to combine them. Now it's the way I want it with the stand-alone Emoji button on the bottom left:

I think I noticed a bug. iCloud Photo syncing was not syncing as expected. It was stuck saying it's syncing 3 pictures which wasn't the case.

A hard restart solved the issue for me.

Edit: It didn't, looks like it still says it's syncing. oh well. maybe it sorts itself out later on its own.

****, it's def bugged. Not syncing with Photos on Mac anymore either. This bug will drive me crazy.

iCloud Photo syncing has been unreliable for me throughout iOS 17. It works, but is full of glitches. Not sure Apple will ever be very good at cloud services TBH.

This bug sucks.

Permanently stuck here. If I take a new photo and then delete it, it just adds a number to the item count and the item count doesn't even reflect when I delete the photo. It's not even syncing with the iPhone library.



UPDATE: looks like it's syncing now, just incredibly slow, like it dropped to 4 items after 1.5 hours syncing. Just photos, not even videos.

Is it true they reverted the changes? In Phone app's Recents list, tapping on contact name calls the contact like in iOS 17. In previous betas, there was a dedicated call button and tapping on contact name opened contact card.

I think it only really progresses when the phone is in standby, has a minimum amount battery and/or is connect to a charger.

Bad change: the recents call list now directly initiates the call again when tapping the cell and the info button on the right is back. So basically it's pre-iOS 18 behavior. Sad.
