Have you tried the safari extension Noir?Who cares about icons whatever…… Can apple please fix it so i can have dark mode in ANY app? Browsing at night in bed is a nightmare when suddenly a web page is bright white when it should be dark. Accessibility and Invert is a kind of fix but can they just bake this into an auto mode that inverts but doesnt invert pictures? Low light mode sucks as contrast is too low.
They look rediculous. All I want is normal sized icons without descriptions. Why is this so hard to implement?I love bigger icons without descriptions. They look amazing
Exactly, this is so annoying. I don't even think this is a bug, or was that different during the betas? Unfortunately, I think no one has thought this through.NOBODY NOTICE? It doesn't work correctly!
When I customise "Light" Icons I have the Wallpaper Light
When I customise "Dark" Icons I have the Wallpaper Dark
When I put it into Auto, these settings don't carry over!!
When System Dark mode kicks in and the Icons change to "Dark" the Wallpaper is light!
CRAZY! This is not how it should be.
While this should've been implemented a long time ago, I'm sure it will be a welcome setting for iPhone users. I'm all for dark mode everything.
My icons are dark with an orange tint.View attachment 2406207

There is a dark reader extension for safari too. No need to install a new WebKit skin first. Those icons look ugly as hell...
Well, outside of the walled garden you can run Firefox with it's engine and extensions and get DarkReader and don't have to deal with light websites burning your eyeballs during the night... but let's throw more money at Apple sinkhole not addressing real issues xD
It works the same as the regular dark mode, it is based on time (morning vs evening). In regular dark mode, the phone won't go into dark mode if you enter a dark basement would it? Same with the app icons.Slightly puzzled by the "Automatic" setting. If I go into a darkened room, the apps remain Light and don't switch to dark mode even with Automatic selected. Is it based on time of day, perhaps?
Still hasn't been changed, I don't get it.NOBODY NOTICE? It doesn't work correctly!

It is based on whether you are in dark mode, even if you enter it manually. So, however you have dark mode set.It works the same as the regular dark mode, it is based on time (morning vs evening). I’m experimenting with tint mode, which I didn’t expect. I know Sebastian de With isn’t a big fan of how the tint is implemented. I’m guessing, but maybe he wants increased contrast?I have this enabled and I really like the look of it.
There are safari extensions that can fix this now I use noir. It’s been an option for a few years now. There are several free and paid apps in the App Store that offer safari extensions just for this purposeWho cares about icons whatever…… Can apple please fix it so i can have dark mode in ANY app?
