Anyone else restore their I cloud back to a new iPhone and their wireless networks did. It transfer/sync?

I erased and tried again but same result. My MacBook has all 40 WiFi networks from my 15 pro max in the password app but the 16 pro max only got 7.

Sync is on for passwords and tried toggling it of and on. I ended up use the create barcode feature for each network I wanted to transfer and scanning them in on the new iPhone.

It’s weird because all the other items in the passwords app synced fine.

Small update.
At least for me it looks like the iPhone can still access the password in iCloud Keychain, even if they are not shown in the pw app.

I just tried to connect to a known WIFI used by other devices, which wasn't shown as known for the iPhone.
iPhone connected anyway without asking for the password. Afterwards the network was also listed in the PW App.

Interesting. So to clarify that network was not showing in the passwords app under WiFi it it still connected? Maybe they just are showing. That should be easier to fix. Did any of your networks show in the app vs what you expected would be there?

Did setup the phone as new. I only saw the single WIFI I used for setup in the app.

In the settings app I still could manually connected to the other know networks without entering a password, even though they were shown as unknown. Afterwards they were listed in the pw app again.

Well I wasted hours trying to redo the restore thinking something had just gone wrong. Good to know it’s likely a visibility bug but the networks are likely there.

I'm seeing this issue now on a new Mac running Sequoia 15.1.1. On my iPhone I have 27 wifi passwords, but on my Mac the Passwords app only shows 6.

As noted above though, the network passwords do indeed appear to be stored on the Mac. If I go to Keychain Access I can see all the networks missing from the Passwords app.

Has anyone figured out any tips for getting this to sync and display properly?
