"it will also include a Lock Screen indicator that shows how long it will take an iPhone charge." my god this is so embarrassing if that feature is enabled only on "Apple Intelligence ready" phones.
You don't need the "power" (lol) of the Apple Intelligence to run that kind of feature that's been on Android phones AND even Macs for YEARS now.
But knowing Apple they'll not enable that feature for older phones, just like they didn't enable battery cycles and 80% charge limiter even though those 2 features could be easily enabled.

No thanks. I don't have a pattern and already have to turn off the battery intelligence they do have so my phone is at 100% when I leave each morning.
This is how Apple will hype their “Powered by Apple Intelligence” campaign. They’ll take existing tech, rebrand it under the Apple Intelligence umbrella, and market it as revolutionary. They’ll convince you, “You need this!” Soon, you’re thinking, I think I need this. Before you know it, it’s, I want this! 🤑
I love how all of Apples "innovations" (term used loosely) come from renaming existing features
They should just tell users what parts of the OS and hardware has most impact on battery usage instead of just showing us a bunch of apps. Also we should be able to turn off all background processing by an app.

Another feature that I think will be impossible to turn off just like the OpenAI backdoor it's an all-in-one package deal called Apple Intelligence with potential data collection and user profiling.

Man, this comment section (and many others on this site) have gotten extremely negative over the years. I get the (many) valid criticisms of Apple, but some of these comments on here are just wild.
Anyway, I’m personally excited for the time remaining to charge on the Lock Screen. This is a small “want” of Android that I’ve had for years.
