Apple is preparing to release iOS 26.0.1, according to a private account on X with a proven track record of sharing information about future iOS versions.

The update will have a build number of 23A350, or similar, the account said.

It is likely that iOS 26.0.1 will fix a camera-related bug on the new iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro models. In his iPhone Air review, CNN Underscored's Henry T. Casey said some of the photos he took with the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro Max at a concert contained "small blacked-out portions" and "white squiggles."

A spokesperson for Apple told Casey that this issue can happen in "very rare cases when an LED light display is extremely bright and shining directly into the camera." Apple has identified a fix and will be releasing it in an "upcoming software update," the spokesperson said, and hopefully that proves to be iOS 26.0.1.

It is unclear if iOS 26.0.1 will include any other bug fixes or enhancements.

It is also not known when Apple plans to release iOS 26.0.1, but given the new iPhones launch tomorrow, getting the fix out is likely an urgent priority.

watchOS 26.0.1 was already released for the Apple Watch Ultra 3, enabling satellite connectivity in Mexico.

The link is broken, and CNN Underscored doesn't appear to have any iPhone Air actual review posted, just a hands-on. I wonder if Apple asked them to pull the review until the update drops tomorrow.

Here's the link: https://www.cnn.com/cnn-underscored/reviews/iphone-air

It is broken on the MacRumors front page for some reason, apologies. Removed it while we try to fix that.

Can they fix the janky glitches like bright white buttons in files, safari, etc when transparency mode is off? They revert if you quit and restart or click them but they soon go back to white. Also although transparency is turned off there is still some transparency that disappears quickly when scrolling.

My 15 pro max is suffering the fairly common of new releases runaway CPU utilization. On the plus side I can fry breakfast on it. On the down side it is hard on battery life.

Multiple reboots haven't helped. I'm sure 26.0.2 isn't far away.

It's been relatively smooth on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Battery life is still amazing (and that's with max 90% charging).

I've only had this one visual bug.

You must have excellent vision. Something about your wallpaper clashes with everything and adds strain just looking at it. Especially how bright it is at the bottom. You'd see some improvements to battery life if you went with something darker or more consistent too.

I foresee a lot of fixes coming soon like the ability to remove liquid glass completely. App icons on iOS 26 look like they were designed by a middle schooler using MS Paint. And no way to split screen easily on iPadOS 26. Very bad experience.

Isn’t this always happening due to re-indexing and similar tasks after a big upgrade?

I wish I never did the software update. Without a recent backup, I can't easily revert to iOS 18 either. There are so many small bugs it's infuriating. Can't even scroll without it getting choppy and seeing translucent descending artifacts in Safari on a 15 Pro Max. The animations are so in your face it's horrible. The widening and condensing address bar in Safari is so distracting and serves no purpose. This is the worst update I can remember. I hope they fix this ASAP so we don't have to live with this buggy nonsense for too long.
