The Calls notification number on the Phone icon needs to be fixed. Whatever I do I have three new calls on it…

1 PM EST on the “by the end of next week” day stated in this article. Where’s 26.0.2? You guys are just guessing nowadays.

Update: Almost 5 PM and still mothing. Never trust macrumors about a “coming soon” update anymore

Updates don't come out on Fridays, barring some emergency imminent bug or security fix.

If 26.0.2 is still happening, it will likely be Monday or Tuesday next week.

There are instances of Friday updates in the past.
The only Friday/Saturday/Sunday iOS update I recall was quite a few years ago (a patch for iOS 11 or 12, perhaps) that came out on Saturday morning US Eastern time due to an imminent daylight saving time bug that would have presented that weekend.

I am very disappointed in Apple, knowing how buggy iOS 26 and watchOS 26 have been, not getting biweekly updates out the door right now to stabilize and deal with some of the more onerous bugs. We really needed a 26.0.2 by now -- it has been over a month since the initial release. Not being able to swipe down messages on Apple Watch to mark them read is driving me mad.

But as time rolls on, it is looking more and more likely that 26.1 will reach RC next week and likely GA on Nov 10 or 11. With only a week and a half presumably left to wait, I doubt there will be an iOS 26.0.2.

Your situation sounds more functional than mine.

I alternate between 2 Series 11 cellular watches. On both:

< pic 1> - When I try to tap the "Lost my iPhone" button to make the sound, I just see this . No sound plays.

< pic 2 > - I can't use either of the 2 Series 11s to make phone calls OR send messages.

Either
a - Tapping on the iPhone App shows the "recents" and keypad, but I can't actually make calls
b - I just see the green Phone icon with the swirly-digger white dots moving for a while

3 - When I set a timer on either watch, it disappears. Never goes off.

It's statistically improbable this is caused by a hardware problem on both watches, right?
I was hoping this next dot release would fix these problems.
