The call screen for a contact has become so difficult. So many buttons, a picture, a background image, texts and options. I want to hit ONE easy big button to CALL the contact. I have to look now where to press every time I want to call someone. It’s can progress imho.

Call screening is nice, but here in the Netherlands people don’t understand and hang-up, call again, hang-up and third time wait. That feels not good from my side. An also, this function only works in your home country. When you are travelling and thus roaming on another GSM network it does not work anymore.

Will all of these be supported in other countries/languages?. Or is a USA only feature?. Need carrier support?

Call screening and hold Assist are the features I’m looking forward to the most. They have been on the pixel/galaxy phones for a few years and I’ve been patiently waiting for them to come to the iPhone.

Agree, they are the only thing I really miss from moving away from Android. This might push me over the edge to have me upgrade devices this year.

For the "transfer to android" esim improvement, does this mean you can switch phones easily between android and iphone using the same phone number?

The silence unknown callers option has been such a godsend ever since I've been on these betas

There will still be some that slip through, but thanks to this, it's really cut down on a LOT of these

Same with unknown messages; thanks to it now by default filtering messages from unknown and potential spam senders, a lot of that has been cut down too. The nice thing about how it does it is if you filter it to unknown senders, you can go to a message, and if it ends up being one that is from a sender you expected (like a text with a 2FA code or order status), you can mark those as known and for ones that you don't want to see, you there is the delete option and on that, you have options of just delete, delete and mark as spam, and if it detects the text that comes in as a recurring one, delete and stop

Has anyone figured out how to open your contacts list in the iPadOS 26 phone app? I find it insane that they left this out. The phone app even seems to have a contacts button. There is a freaking "contacts" app in the ipad app separate from the phone app now, too. I just don't get it.
