Just updated to iOS 26.4. and now Mail is giving me "Your network settings prevent content from loading privately" for all messages. Images do not load anymore, unless I tap the button to load them.
I have never seen this before. Yes, I have those privacy protections enabled for Mail. Switching everything off removes the message.
iCloud Private Relay seems to work normally with Safari.
