I think it just makes subtler the highlighting effect when holding/moving finger over certain buttons and panels (such as the Apple Music search field or unified navigation bars) in the interface; seems more noticeable than in beta 2

Isn’t that what this setting does, also within Display? It disables all the flashing on touch points for me.

Oh my gosh, I must be mistaken and thank you! I quickly tired of/never got used to the touch points highlights. However I do wish this were its own setting seeing as I actually don't mind strobing or flashing lights when it comes to video content, such as concert footage/music videos.

This was reported by others in the previous beta but worked fine for me until Beta 3, but iPhone Mirroring to Mac no longer responds to the home screen or app switcher buttons. Everything else works, but those buttons do not.

I am able to press the bar at the bottom of my phone will mirrored to get back to the home screen, is that what you're talking about? I am on the iOS beta, but the release channel on my Mac.

I am able to do this as well. It is the buttons at the top right of the window that do not function now. See below:

Edit: Interestingly, the View options in the menu bar function as expected. The buttons in the main window still do not.

1- App store bug is fixed where loading of any section was extremely slow.

2- However, if you use your iphone in a language other than your account's language, name of search tab in app store is still not in the language of your device but in the language of your account. no issues with other tabs.

3- in spotlight, a bug where preventing "Top Hit" and "Conversion" sections to show up, is fixed.

4- in home screen, after exiting the home screen edit mode, edit button was getting stuck on left or right top corner of the screen sometimes. it seems fixed now.

so 3 of 4 bugs i noticed are fixed with this beta. so far so good.

edit: Bug number 3 seems like continuing to be an issue, time to time. There seems to be an indexing (for top hit section) and appstorage (for conversion rates) issue that is causing these bugs.

For what it's worth, those buttons do work for me. Are you on the macOS beta too? Could be it's broken there, but it's working with the 26.3 release (non-beta) for me.

App Store account view thingy still doesn't load in Lockdown Mode...third beta in a row 😳 (although I did just get around to reporting it today; I thought I had reported it during beta 1 testing but that was something else)

Thank goodness for the App Store app-icon-long-press-to-update shortcut!

I am on 26.4 DB2, where this was working until iOS 26.4 DB3. I had seen other reports that this was broken last week, so maybe the bug finally caught up to me 🙃
