By horrifically slow, in what way? Mine has been loading fine, scrolling fine, jumping between the 47 opens tabs/pages has been quick, and that’s with me closing it each time
For me, it is only on the first boot. In the below video, notice that it immediately loads when the app is in the background. As soon as it’s closed out from the app switcher, it takes 15+ seconds to load anything.

Turning off WiFi Assist does not change this behavior at all.

Isn’t it weird that Apple hasn’t released a new PB since PB1? Can’t remember going through two DB’s without seeing a new PB.

For a point increase after the iOS has been publicly released for a while (like public release of iOS 26.0) it is very strange. I am not sure if I was ever stuck on a full release public beta this long. One day after developer release or even later in the afternoon the same day as developer release is what I remember usually happening for a point increase beta (maybe 2 days after developer release for first point Public beta before going to what I wrote).

They should have held off on a public beta for 26.4 until they were ready to follow a similar release schedule. I had turned off betas after 26.2, but I decided to turn betas back on with 26.4 which I wouldn’t have done so if I had know I would stuck on the 1st beta this long. I have often used the developer releases, but I decided to be a little more cautious with this one even though it appear to be scaled back from initial reports on what it would add. I am hesitant to turn on developer as some issues I don’t want seem to be hit or miss with testers, but I am having issues with the 1st public beta that I didn’t have before which is making me think about taking the risk.

I know there can be issues with betas, but when you get consistent and timely releases mirroring developer releases they are more interesting to deal with including reporting them and less annoying than waiting this long in between public betas for any possible fixes or new features or problems to discover.

Guys, I had a big issue with the prevoous beta FW where Safari and other apps has a severe lag. For example, Macrumora would take over 10 seconds to load up. Ads on here also would not load.

Did anyone else have this issue in the last FW? And has this now been fixed?

Messages continues to be a slow, bugged out disaster on my Air. Phone gets hot when Messages is open, too.
That sucks dude. I’m not seeing any of that on my 17 pro. I just wish we got some better battery life. I’m constantly disappointed. That with no matter what settings, I’m lucky if I get SOT of 8 hours at best. That’s with a lot of BS turned off too.

Guys, I have 3 different AppStore user accounts (1 per country). I usually signed off from one user account iand log in with the other user account at AppStore - but with this update, I can’t find how to log off from the AppStore anymore… any help? 🙏🏼

Is anyone else’s phone slow to unlock your Apple Watch? Mine now takes like 15 seconds after unlocking my phone, but I can’t remember exactly if it’s since beta 2 or 3

Mine is fast.

On a previous beta I had this issue. If I opened the Watch App, it would go right away. It's annoying when this happens to you. I'd try hard rebooting both devices.

I don’t like this at all and, for the first time in quite a while, have turned off auto update / download. I’m not at all worried about giving Apple my ID, but I am concerned about it refusing to accept it, as some people seem to have experienced. I have a feeling that it might well auto-verify me on the age of account based on having used a credit card on my account in the past (I don’t currently have one) but the possibility of being locked out of full functionality is a concern. What would that do to the Apple family group that I am supervisor of? Might it mess with the Apple One subscription?

I think a system-wide approach can be pretty useful in general, but it should be optional unless legally mandated, and as far as I’m aware, the UK Online Safety doesn’t insist on this - at least not yet. If a user would prefer to fallback on giving their ID to every which app and website that demands it, then that should remain an option.

Gemini still has connection problem from using iOS Gemini app. Gemini.google.com works. Anyone else.

Using Gemini and Grok on the Air and iPad Pro. Both are working fine for me.
I do not have Apple Intelligence active on the Air.

App Store > click the user in the upper right > click on user id (top) > Click on Apple Account

For me this is critical as the device has my dev id while the App Store has my standard id

I'm not sure if it's been there since beta 1 or if they added it in this beta 3 relaunch, but I now have the option to forward notifications to the connected watch. I understand that smartwatches other than Apple Watches will now display notifications without issue.
