iPad isn't showing anything yet. iPhone showed it over 10 GB but downloaded like a few hundred MB. Originally it said it had 26 mins to download but it was done in like 2 mins.

Just under 11GB on my iPhone Air, update didn’t take long.

All good on the other side. Smooth and snappy, some apps are definitely opening and loading content faster (not done a restart for a while) so maybe that’s why.

Didn’t catch the size of the download in my 17e but it was done in a couple of minutes so it was not a very big one.
How come some people are reporting multiple gigabytes?

Is it normal for an update like this to be 10 GB on iPhone 17 Pro?
Had the same. It’s a mistake. The update size for these incremental OTA update is more or less broken since the whole iOS 26 releases.
The unpacked update file was around 900 mb on my phone. The download was even smaller.

Way to go Apple…”fix” a problem and create a bigger one: now I can no longer connect to the WiFi at all after installing 26.5.1. They better pull this so called update asap.

Apple CarPlay still causing problems. Unbelievable for a company like that.
Yep, still has never worked so well with Teslas =)

I just mount it to the left of the screen, I kinda feel like Woz when I do that. Do your remember early GPS days, that photo of Woz with seven GPS units all going at once in his car so he could see how they all did together? haha

Seems a specific issue on your phone.
Just re-add the WiFi and it will most likely be ok.
No need to pull anything.

12.2 GB for iPhone 17 Pro
Please see my comment above. The OTA update is much much smaller. The size that is shown on the update screen is mostly broken/not precise in the whole iOS 26 era.
The file was unpacked around 900 mb on my 17 Pro, the packed download was also much smaller than this.

Can still report this update is running absolutely fantastic, smoothest I’ve seen iOS 26, there are definitely more changes than just a charging issue, feels like the iOS I remember back when I had my 13 Pro Max on iOS 16.
