Into the second day now and running great on my iPhone Air, a joy to use. Zero issues or obvious bugs to report.
Improvement seen in idle battery drain, especially the long overnight period. Things should be settling down to see how the active daily battery life fares.

Can still report this update is running absolutely fantastic, smoothest I’ve seen iOS 26, there are definitely more changes than just a charging issue, feels like the iOS I remember back when I had my 13 Pro Max on iOS 16.

Too bad us lowly old school iPhone 16 users are not feeling the love. Guess these ancient phones cannot run the new fixes. 🤣

Where is this one guys website where he’s finding all those „huge“changes with every little update?? 😅

I’ve got a new problem I’ve never had until 26.5.1. My phone does the “icon redraw” bug sometimes first thing after pulling it off the charger overnight. I used to only see this “bug” when fully rebooting the phone. And it stutters in the Home Screen for the first few seconds too. And this stuttering happens randomly throughout the day now too which is weird! Also I always have my charge limit set to 80% and I’ve woke up twice this week with it charged all the way to 100%.

This is not normal. I’m on a 17pro and usually by the time you get to the end of the iOS cycle you are riding on the best one so this is really weird for me. Actually all of the iOS 26’s have been great for me up until this one. Hoping 26.6 fixes these issues. Also just had some keyboard lag just now typing this out! A good second long freeze and then catchup when deleting stuff!

Consider yourself lucky, I guess. I've had this on every iteration on iOS 26 across a 17PM and now my Air.

Same issues. Also other ones. The phone app has been quite buggy. It makes me want to get on 27 beta but then I’d just be trading bugs.
