Apple is not even trying in many cases. On the point of politicians, I am happy more and more countries are doing something about the arbirary restrictions companies like Apple and Google like to put on their users and developers.

I would love to see the passes/cards/coupons have shiny edges similar to the iOS 6 Passbook. It will match the new Liquid Glass UI. Submitted my suggestion through Apple Feedback Assistant, and hope it will receive some attention.

Yes, but other first world countries have their own, and better apps for IDs. Even Poland and Estonia have had digital IDs for years.
Apple can’t even release the News app and many other European languages to their products, while Microsoft and Google got things done awhile ago

All great, but pleaaaase apple add an option to differentiate cards with custom colors or card pictures or whatever, anything really. I have multiple cards that look exactly the same and the only differentiator is the card number. It's a usability nightmare and the primary reason I don't use Apple Pay all that much.

I have a bunch of loyalty cards with a variety of barcodes and QR codes I need to keep in my wallet. I just want to be able to scan these into Apple wallet with the option for a little bit of customization of branding, maybe take a photo, pick a color and emoji etc.

Apple AI is done on the phone so that should be a less of a concern.
