If anyone's interested with this release - the change log says that this release "optimizes Spotlight indexing in preparation for iOS 27."
probably do some groundwork first to avoid people getting 3 days of indexing when they first update to iOS 27, like people on beta 1 did

RC does NOT fix the overheating issue people are experiencing with the phone, doing nothing; or simple web browsing and it getting hot and so the battery drains faster.

I’m reading reports of this being fixed in iOS 27.

First full day with iOS 26.6 RC coming from the crap iOS 26.5.2 on my iPhone Air.

Performance is great, very snappy and fluid with no problems like lag & freezing etc that I experienced randomly on 26.5.2.

Idle and active battery is drain is noticeably improved.

Much better thermals, running cooler where iOS 26.5.2 would be running warm with the most basic tasks.

Solid update and about time!

It’s just me or Favourites sleeve in phone app is missing? My favourites are up in the recent list calls but not show the Star icon below

Other issue since first beta 26.6 is not handoff continuity or airdrop discover with macOS 26.6

Still getting Home Screen lag, Apple is really trash at this point lol, the regret of buying the latest flagship.

Seems like everyone moved onto 27 it’s dead here.
This is where I do kinda miss reddit. Get back on Iphone, excited to talk about it and this forum is really just dead. I'm still getting used to Liquid Glass and it's actually not as bad as what was shown at last year's WWDC.
