iOS 26.6 weird charging issue

Anyone here seen this before? After updating to 26.6, I can’t charge my iPhone from the USB-C charger built into my kitchen outlet. I’m using the same cable I’ve been using for years. It only charges if I turn the phone off. The same thing is happening with my wife’s iPhone too!? If I plug anything else into the outlet, it works just fine!?

Had a somewhat similar issue a while back, a device wouldn't charge on iOS 26.x (can't remember what version it was on). Didn't test it with other cables or chargers, but a forced restart solved the issue. (volume up, volume down and then hold the lock button until the screen dies, about 30 seconds).
The cable has quite a lot of tech in it and there has been a few updates in the past that has broke compatibility with certain chargers. But when that happens you normally get a message "incompatible charger" or similar.

Also try and rotate it 180 degrees if some pin/connectors are dodgy, it can help and then you know you have a half broken cable. If you have a plastic small toothpick, see if you can clean the usb-c connector (inside) and also on the phone. Or try and blow in the port and charger if there's some stuff stuck.
But try a forced restart and if that doesn't solve it, get a new cable. They do break sometimes.
