I think you misunderstood me. I said that my iPhone SE 3 shutted down after 5h, meaning that it reached 0% after 5h. It wasn’t an unexpected shut down at all.

However, after other runs, it holds the battery between 7 and 8h which, for an SE 3 with battery health at 85%, is quite good! So I’m actually quite happy with iOS 26.2 (non-beta, I never install betas, only really stable versions using the IPSW file, a clean install).
Your iPhone turns off at 0%.

And that looks like way too short for a run.

I’m glad you did the IPSW restore to see something evens out.

😂 I thought you said, “I end with 87% battery by the end of the day!” But I heard you corrected it.

So why’d you use only 5G? It uses up more battery than WiFi.
Because, like I said, I am walking the golf course and have NO wifi. Regardless, I have done that forever always with more than enough battery.

Do you use WiFi when you’re at home or at a public place that has it?

I don’t know what happened, but yesterday my battery life was horrible on my iPhone 15 Pro Max.

I got to 20% and low power mode enabled. About 15 minutes later I was at 10%. While watching it dropped directly to 6%, then 3% and turned off in about another 10 minutes. Somehow the phone dropped 20% in under 30 minutes while on low power mode. 105% battery usage with 4.5 hours of usage.

Today I’m already at 84% 2.5 hours after removing my phone from the charger with 54 minutes of use. The new battery screen makes it impossible to tell why. Battery health is 86%.

is it just me or under ios26 the battery takes longer to charge? my 16pro takes much longer to charge than before
Optimised battery charging on?
Do you use MagSafe?
Do you use a low wattage charger?

Bruh that’s big. On a beta ?

I heard so many good things about 26.3 beta 1 that I had to jump on it and my word I have seen a substantial jump on my 13 Pro Max.

No, no and no . I'm using the same charger as I was using with ios18
USB c adapter right ? Since you got it?

Do you stream video a lot like I do with my workout videos?

Any change? I’m holding off on it until I see any definite changes on it.

Battery life is kinda trash on my 17 PM both 26.2 and 26.3 B1
Glad I don’t have the 26.3 beta bro.

I'm impressed with 26.2. Been away from Wifi for almost a month aside (did hook up twice to get 26.2 down and to make a backup) but aside from that its been running as good as it did with iOS 18.
I do like the new "hey, wanna charge up to 100%" button that pops up when its charged to the limit you have set. Good for when going out for a treck for the day.
So from a battery perspective its fine on my daily driver, a 16 pro. Hope it stays this way.

iOS 26.3 Beta 2 Battery is still awful man
Exactly it’s a PIA so that’s why I’m holding off on it.

Yes I do get the charge to 100% button on the battery screen. That’s when you hit the charge limit.

Not bad for me imo.

The new battery life system is pathetic. It is garbage. The “screen-on time” number you see there is from 00:00-23:59, regardless of whether you used it while charging or not. Unlike on iOS 12-18, this one does NOT differentiate between charging or not.

So the answer to your question of “how do I determine SOT since last full charge on iOS 26?” Is “you can’t do that”.

It is so pathetic. I can’t see how Apple ever approved that.

To run a battery test, charge it overnight while you sleep (don’t use it while charging) and unplug it as soon as you wake up.

Run the test until 23:59 at the latest and you will see the correct number in that pathetic graph. Otherwise the number is useless.
I completely agree, the new battery life indicator is annoying AF. I want to see how much juice I’ve used from one charge to another, not just that 12-hour period. Although I actually do like many things about iOS 26(.2) the new battery screen bugs me a lot. Also, I’m still not happy with the battery life overall (16 PM).

how frequent do you have to charge your iPhone, bro ?

I also don’t look at the usage screen as much given that it ain’t making sense to me too.

I also prefer showing the statistics from charge to charge, rather than a 12 hour period. I go 2-3 days between charging so it would nice to know SOT, etc. for the current charge.

Ah, yeah, if you charge once every three days the statistics are utterly useless.

Nothing you can do, sadly. A shame.

Wow only 1 hour of screen on time for 80% of the battery?! 😧
That's how it goes since I got the iPhone 15 Pro (had a 13PM before).
As you can see, with APM enabled it uses even more.

It's not AOD (disabled), it's not mobile data (was on WiFi), it's not background app refresh, it's not push mail, it's not dual SIM (it's the same with only one enabled), it's not ... I've tried so many things and it was always the same (in a range of +/- 1-5 % at the end of the day).
Sometimes a reboot helps for a few days, but that's also more gambling than sure.
I've more or less given up on it.

Agreeable my other iPhone 15 Pro peers and myself have said, more or less adaptive power would make drain worse. Also mainly no effect, makes screen flicker or the brightness can get a little awkward, including refresh rate. Lots of us turned it off after a little while.
