Is swiping right on the home screen supposed to do anything now. It just momentarily blurs the screen. Feels like it should either 1/ have a function, or 2/ do nothing! But blurring the screen isn’t anything.

iPadOS

You can put widgets there you can access from the lock screen.

I agree now we have widgets on the Home Screen it feels a bit redundant and would be nice to have the option to turn it off.

I think my daughter just summed it up nicely, she said it reminds her of those “squishy window gel stickers”. You can get…

Now I can’t un see it…
It reminds me of these: https://www.amazon.com/-/en/Cabinet-Adhesive-Bumpers-Cabinets-Dampening/dp/B09W963WNM

Wondering if this is a bug, before I report. Anyone else seeing this? I have an iPhone 13 and when I try to add a widget, I hit edit and it comes up with a blank search box. When I enter the widget I’m wanting nothing happens. It does not bring it up. So how in the F are you supposed to add a widget? I figure this has to be a bug or I’m doing something wrong. Does anyone else have this issue? I’m referring to the widget page to the left of the home screen but same thing happens on home screen

This frame-rate jitter/stutter appears to be very annoying. [based on user reports] Especially when we're 30 days from OS release and new phone release.

Beta 6 next week must be the definitive fix. Otherwise this is the most insane forced obsolete i've ever seen.

Lots of stuttering on my 15 Pro Max. Makes the phone pretty unpleasant to use IMO.

Someone got the same problem, and it got fixed by setting reduce transparency to off, try it

And still report it please!

No issue adding a widget on my 13PM. Maybe reboot the phone if you haven’t already.

I used to have this really annoying issue with my iPhone keyboard. It started back on my iPhone 11, and when I switched to this iPhone 13, the bug somehow came with me. My girlfriend got the 11 and never had the problem. It all started with iOS 17 — the keyboard would freeze, take forever to register what I typed, and the accuracy was terrible.

Now, I’ve been on iOS 26 DB 5 for almost a week, and I haven’t had this issue even once. I had basically given up hope that Apple would ever fix it, but now… I’m honestly scared to leave this DB 5 in case the problem comes back.

Thanks for mentioning this. I get the same thing on my 13 mini.
Thanks to @Stiille for a workaround.

I get the same response with my iPhone 13 Pro. Also in CarPlay when I search for contacts or music, the Car Play display is blank as well.

It’s daily driver ready

I agree in the sense that I only have 1 app that doesn't work for me (and it's a very niche one, used to pay for coffee and beverages on Dallmayr coffee machines at work). For the rest, everything works. It's quite laggy and stuttery here and there, and battery life is way worse than on 18.6 on my 16PM - but I am daily driving it and it all works as it should, with minor inconveniences.

Of course, as with all betas, if you need a phone where everything works 100% perfectly - just don't.
