It doesn't help. I contacted support, they ran tests and gathered logs. Supposed to be contacting me tomorrow with an update. I plan on being disappointed/frustrated.I have not. I am afraid of being disappointed at this point. None of the update reviews mention the problem or any resolution in the works

Just got off the phone. No resolution. Just documented more details and troubleshooting steps for the engineers to reference. I feel like this is never going to be resolved. My Feedback Assistant submission has been in since October without any movement so please share if you hear anything new!
I am afraid you might be correct. It really baffles me that this issue affects only the iPhone 15 Pro and Plus and only happened with the ios 26 update. So it is not the phone, but the update that is the issue and when the phone is restarted the issue is temporarily resolved. Seems like that would narrow down the issue considerably.Just got off the phone. No resolution. Just documented more details and troubleshooting steps for the engineers to reference. I wouldn't give up hope yet. If they're sending logs to the engineers, they may actually take it seriously and fix it. My CarPlay problems on iOS 26 with iPhone 17 were escalated to the engineers, confirmed a bug without a specific resolution timing and it was recently fixed in the iOS 26.2 release. So they do actually work on them if they confirm them.I am afraid you might be correct. Not here . Same "searching" message as when I downloaded ios 26.Did it just start working randomly for anyone else?
One notable thing I did was I temporarily put my watch into "Lost Mode". I don't know if that is/was the fix though. Not here . Same "searching" message as when I downloaded ios 26.
I didn’t want to jinx it, but this has been my experience the last few days as well. It hasn’t been perfect, but as of today I’m able to precision locate and my phone hasn’t been off or restart in probably a day or two. I realized it was seemingly back to normal about a week ago. Prior to, I’d usually get about a few hours post restart where it would work before dropping off againI am not going to do a happy dance just yet, but for some reason, which I cannot figure out, precise location on my air tags is working again. I have not restarted the phone in several days, I have not updated since ios 26.2, and I have not gone in and tweaked any settings. The precise location feature stopped working after ios 26 and ever since then my iPhone 15 pro has required a restart to activate the feature. The restart would enable the precise location for the air tags , but only for a an hour or so. Subsequent updates to ios 26 did not fix the issue, but this morning all my tags are responding. Anybody else?
Check the firmware version on your AirTags. Maybe it was a bug fixed in the AirTag firmware.I am not going to do a happy dance just yet, but for some reason, which I cannot figure out, precise location on my air tags is working again. I thought that as well. It’s possible, but this issue also impacted other precision location compatible items as well, like AirPods and even using an Apple Watch to precision locate my iPhone. As of the last few days, those issues have also resolved.Check the firmware version on your AirTags. Maybe it was a bug fixed in the AirTag firmware.
Interesting. This is the first I’ve heard of an Air running into issues. Everything I’ve seen has been relegated to the 15 line.I’m still having issues. My iPhone Air won’t even “see” my AirPods Pro. It says the last time it saw them was two weeks ago even though they’re literally connected to the phone. I’ve had anomalies with my AirTag as well.
I thought it was just my Air or the 26.3 beta since they still show up on my iPad that’s running 18.7.2.
Everything good yesterday. It does take a little longer than it used to to connect, but I am guessing 8-10 seconds. My firmware has not changed so I wonder what it is that Apple finally did that fixed the issue.Still going strong over here @webbga although I have noticed that it takes quite awhile longer to establish a connection with the item after searching for the signal. Roughly 10-15 seconds even if the item is within arms reach. Is it still holding up for you?
