Can you imagine if everyone had a sign an agreement to be prosecuted?

"But sir, I didn't sign a document agreeing I would abide by the laws of this country! Why are you arresting me for burglary?"
How is this different from all the Apple leaks we see constantly from Mark Gurman and Ming-Chi Kuo? What is the point of companies requiring their employees to sign NDAs if everyone can be sued anyway?

The iPhone is now a mature product.

The best they can do is make incremental changes to the"M" chips and perhaps one or two other small changes and think that folks can justify another several thousand dollar expense every year.

Seems like Apple designers are annually changing the color of the lipstick on the pig and think that justifies calling it a major upgrade - please send lots of money...

Not buying lawyer invented fanboy excuse.

Regardless, at this age, and what was done to acquire the info, these are not the actions of a boy but of a stupid man.

The real question is how Ramacciotti did get access to this information.
Doesn't matter for Prosser. He gets a video call from Ramacciotti. Reports or shares what he got from him on his youtube. This happens all the time. Gurman, you name it. However you still have to defend yourself. Apple can make him regret life.

Why is everyone crapping on this guy? Leaks are published on all tech sites and we all read them.

Every smack talker in this thread looks like a hypocrite.

And we don’t know the whole story. Apple seems to be over-flexing. It’s not doing their image any favors.
Absolutely. Gurman built a career on it. Macrumors is based on rumors. The funny part are the people here all crapping on the rumors guys. lol Serves the guy right you say. You weren't saying that when he broke the news. It's like people here lost the ability to think..

Poor guys, they have leaked the crappiest OS release in years and now are in trouble.
You poor guys. Apple alleges they leaked proprietary information.
Back when I was Apple fanboy they sued Samsung, now they sue small bloggers and leakers from US-only.
Now they sue people who leak peppery information and who tred in copyrights and such.
Can’t touch Wylsacom and others from sanctioned/hostile countries who review their devices month before global release!
It’s true can’t sue across borders for the most part.
That for me is a sign of a weak company.
It’s the sign of a company who wants to protect its ip.
Intellectual property? C’mon, their designers have smoked out their minds if they think this is innovative and worth to be called IP. Every Chinese manufacturer has already copied it, and more to come.
It’s my opinion that some opinions are worth the cost of the bits to post it. And we know the Chinese do copy.
Witch hunt on leakers only ruins Apple’s reputation.
No it doesn’t.
However I am not sure if their reputation isn’t ruined already,
It’s not.
they have been giving devices to select bloggers months before global release so those can make their highly-biased reviews and free PR.
Who said the reviews are biased and by whose yardstick?
A huge contrast with Apple from 2000-2012, they rarely needed ads for iPhones to keep selling.
iPhones came out in 2007. And was the first of a genre. A quarter of a century later things have changed.
I could only wish them luck, maybe Apple backs down. However I don’t think they will, this Apple is not old Apple.
Thankfully.
Guys are in a huge trouble
It’s not good.

We're all fanboys but you need to be protective of Apple's right to secrecy. He should be liable for all financial damages due to this leak.

Not really, a corporation has no “right to secr
I’m sure the dudes who robbed the Louvre were also lifelong fans of the jewels that they stole.

Except the jewels are not going to be Apple Open Source licensed Darwin soon with proprietary userland and other Mach integrations.

This is more like stealing your allotment of wheat early and making it into tariff-free bread.

Welp, if there's one thing MacRumors don't have, based on most of the replies here, is class consciousness.

Oh how I wished iJustine was somehow involved with this so we wouldn't have to deal with her cringe worthy videos. Hi, i'm iJustine and I just love APPLE, tee hee hee. 🥳
So why are you watching them if you dislike her so much? Just so you can whinge about it here?

Time to put your big boy pants on and grow up.
