iOS 26 Lets You Report Spam Voicemails

From personal experience, Apple do absolutely NOTHING. There have been numerous texts I've flagged and yet still keep coming.

Note to Apple, please fix this before promoting other supposed flagging or screening functionity!

Long long ago you could do this at a carrier level when I worked at Verizon in 2009. The carriers and many businesses that have leaked our data time over time are responsible for this and haven't held enough accountability imo.
 
I really wish it didn’t take 7-8 screen taps to block a number, report it as spam and deleted the message. During the last election I blocked over 400 numbers. The list takes several seconds to scroll.

I know, not voicemail, but I expect this would be similar.
 
I am all for if it can filter the ones of the type below. I blocked Beth from Minneapolis, Erica, from Baltimore, etc. but they have kept coming for over a year. Debt-free except my mortgage 😊

How about we get a "mark as unread" (unlistened to?) for voicemails first. I'll gladly filter my own spam for that feature!
 
I may be missing the obvious here but, on the surface, I don't see anything really notable with the new call screening over the current 'silence unknown callers' option. Either way, a potential spammer is left with the ability to leave a voicemail. How is the new call screening option better?
