Hi all

Since ios has moved many (but not all) search boxes to the bottom of the screen, specifically in mail, messages, and safari i find 3 things Pretty Dang Annoying:

1. This weird X and tick that seems to now pervade the OS. In principle i like it theres many places where it makes much sense. But i lost track of the amount of times i hit the wrong X whe confronted with a situation like the attached image. Never mind.

2. Back to the search— the number of times i search a web address in mail or messages is way too high. (Thinking that i am in safari search) There’s almost nothing to differentiate the search boxes between the apps. It raises the question of why does it matter what app i am in- cant i just enter something into any search boxes and have it do the right thing. Its a cognitive overload which is not needed and to be frank very un apple like.

3. Connected to point 2 above there is no way to set different backgrounds on messages or mail so its obvious which app im in. Can do this in safari to an extent but why cant i set a nice picture for my message list background as it stands it just black. So is mail. This is a UI/UX ********. Very poor. Hopefully apple at least fixes this. The graced us with a background for ‘safari favourites’ and actual message convos, but not the actual message list itself in either mail or messages.

Anyone else agree or have these issues?
