Forget the fact that he originally correctly reported that the big Apple Intelligence features would be delayed from iOS 18 (before Apple even announced a delay), and that they would arrive with 26.4. He reported this nearly a year ago. But whatever.
11+ gigs on 17 Pro from 26.2.1. Yowza. Did Apple rewrite the entire OS?!

Saw some rumors last night and kind of felt like they were just that, a rumor. But seeing more gaining steam today that the Google / Siri enhancements for 26.4 might be delay to 26.5. 26.4 beta 1 will be interesting to see what it includes.

Gurman is now saying what Apple has always said--end of 2026, which could very well be 27.2. Gurman was also the only one saying it was coming in 26.4, so don't put too much faith in what he says one way or the other.
So what will be in 26.4 ? If not an updated Siri with features that were promised in June 2024 then what will it include ?
I wonder if iOS 26 is basically done for big updates they will be now smaller updates with tiny changes etc and then iOS 27 could be the one ?
Maybe integrating Gemini as an option to replace ChatGPT?
Possible that but it was only Announced not long ago that new partnership but they could have been privately working together .
It’s not helpful people like Gurman giving us false hope about potential new features coming up , for all we know it was always the plan that the new Siri would be in iOS 27 and no iOS 26.
