I will take a screen shot…in the actual CarPlay menu it comes up as an option just like on the iPhone.

And sorry..:yeah…not an option for Maps on the phone..:I was just talking about CarPlay having its own option.
Well, at least there's an option in CarPlay.

Someone pointed out on Reddit that Apple updated their Maps coverage page with a bunch of cities in their DCE section that don’t presently have DCE, including Denver and Phoenix.
I just took a look at that page again and interestingly...this is STILL the case...🤔 And the list is different from the Look Around list, so it's not like it's a copy/paste mistake (which I'd think would have been corrected if it was a mistake 😂).

Unfortunately, it still lists DCE's and Look Around in the US by city instead of just saying "United States" as a whole (like Canada is listed in both). So darn it! If this is a look at what's coming, that would mean still no nationwide release of either one.

Have the blue round destinations icons saved in the Library (“Places”) gotten much bigger in Beta 2 or am I dreaming? I mean, for me they look disproportionately huge. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Visited Places in Maps is a very cool feature. Is it also available on Apple Maps for the iPad?

Is there any way to get that feature with Appleaps in iOS 18 or will I have to wait until iOS 26?

I’m still on regular iOS 18.5, but I’m now seeing different behavior on Apple Maps.

For starters, when initially selecting one of the routes before starting navigation, Maps is now overlaying the name of the roads the route is largely taking you on, which I know was a frequently requested feature. This carries over to when actually navigating, also.

Another new behavior: When on a highway, when approaching the exit *prior* to your exit, Maps would usually specify which lanes to be in. “Stay in the second lane from right.”

It’s a little different now. It now says, “Stay in the second lane from right, and go past this exit.”

Then, when the navigation box updates back to your exit, it now removes the exit number from the upper right, and adds in “Next Exit” at the bottom.

Yep..:but he asked if he could get it now in iOS 18…public beta should be out in 2 weeks.

It’s a cool feature…I did use it while traveling in SoCal this week.
How is the data saved and share among multiple Apple devices? I have two iPhones, Mac Mini, and an I pad. It would be nice if they can record and track my visits. I'm assuming all data is saved to the Apple ID and I’ll see my visits if I'm signed into an Apple device?

I believe that is the correct assumption...it is all tied to your Apple ID.

This behavior with the exits only takes place if the prior exit is less than a specified distance from the exit you need to take. I don’t know what that specific distance is as of yet, but I’m going to assume it’s a mile or less.

I just downloaded and installed iOS 26 Beta 2 and I don't see any Visited Places section. Under Places, I only see Pinned, Saved Places, Guides, and Routes. I'm in the US. What’s going on?

Tap on your little profile picture in the top right of the menu, and then tap on places. You’ll see visited places in that menu.

It “should” be there…unless you’ve done something wrong?? At the bottom?

It’s an “on all the time” thing as far as I know. Here’s mine.

I know it's hard to believe, but I have checked and there is nothing. I find it hard to believe that I don't have access to it. Makes no sense to me at all.
