I occasionally swim with it, but at most wear it in the shower.

I'm always surprised when people tell me they're scared to use their watch in water. I've been using my watches in the ocean/shower/pool since gen 1 and none have ever had an issue.

I think it has to be a bug. I just don’t get a 3D button, no matter what the view is. The feedback request I posted an hour ago to Apple already says less than 10, so I’m certainly not the only one. But perhaps it’s not a widespread bug. Thanks anyway.

It's hard to keep up here on the thread. I've noticed they have done away with contact profile photos in the Messages contacts list and in Recents. Only the name shows now. Is that new?

I'm still seeing them. Is "show contact photo" turned on in settings?

This is kinda distressing. Never before OS26+ has core features like that broken before. Their QA is almost non existent these days. OS26 feels like one giant beta and they are on 26.6 already.

IMHO, it ALWAYS takes till a .4 release to seem polished. But, 26 is such garbage it'll probably never be good. 27 FTW.

Besides the crazy Safari issue, not I am having one on Messages only on the iPad.

I'll run across something like a YT video I want to share. Every thing works fine until it actually sends. Then I get a delivery failure notification however the message itself says delivered and the recipient gets the message. Then a few minutes later 🙄 the message status in Messages changes to “Not Delivered”. See attached.

UPDATE: After the message status changing to “Not Delivered”, this triggers another message failed to send notifications.

Btw - I found that inserting emojis into posts fails when initiated from the keyboard (MKB). At times text from the MKB fails to appear in the post.

I’ve had this bug for a while, but curious to know if anyone else ever sees extra space above and below the “Sleep | Wake Up” alarm in the Clock app… I can never reproduce it, but it happens multiple times throughout the day and is seemingly random.

My GPS in Find My (via iMessage) isn't reliable. In iOS 26, if I am checking up on a family member, the GPS would move with them. In iOS 27, it doesn't follow them. It just skips a lot and sometimes locks in.

Looks like beta 5 seems more buggy than expected?

Not in my experience so far. The only issue on my Air is the extended header shade in Messages, which seems to be a widespread issue. Otherwise it’s smooth sailing so far.

Im having a major issue where the screen stops being responsive while in an app. I cant swipe up from the bottom to close the app and go to Home Screen. I have to put the phone into lock screen mode and back out for it to become responsive again. tried restarting the phone and its still doing it. 17 pm on the newest public beta 3 :/

I had that earlier when I wanted to close an app while on a FaceTime call. As you say, locking and unlocking brought the screen back to life.

Nothing. Same exact file in Dev and PB.

I have been running the Dev on my daily driver the entire time (since beta 1). I did let others install first before I dove in.

This issue Im having is really annoying. It’s happening almost every time. Is there anything I should try to fix it? Maybe switch to developer beta?

Have you tried a hard reboot yet? Or even a normal power down/reboot? Are all the apps updated? Could be an issue with that app and the beta.

Face ID is slow as crap if I leave my phone sitting for a while (~30ish minutes). Takes like 3 seconds. If I do repeat unlocks it is instant like usual. Didn't do this in PB2. iPhone 16 Pro.

Liquid Glass looks so much nicer in this beta, wth? I don’t know if it’s improved specular highlights, better blur, or better colour. But I keep getting surprised at how nice it looks in various situations. This is the first time I’ve actually liked the Liquid Glass aesthetic.

Between the huge performance improvements over iOS 26 and an actually usable Siri, this really is shaping up to be the best release in years!

At this point, the only difference tends to be the release date. The Developer Preview (DP) gets released first... the Public Beta (PB) a few days later, and as the beta cycle progresses, the delay between the 2 shrinks... by the last release or two, the PBs are only a few hours behind the DP.

I took daily showers with my Series 1 for a year before selling it. Never had a single issue.

Just a normal reboot. It’s not one app it’s several. Reddit, Instagram ring app….
