Just updated my iPhone Air from iOS 26.6.1 and it's alright.

The phone is maybe slightly faster, but nothing dramatic, like I wouldn't have noticed unless someone told me it's supposed to be faster. 🤷🏻‍♂️

At least all my apps work fine, including banking. Hope I notice other improvements as I keep using the phone.
That makes sense. 26.6.x is a great release and I was finding it hard to believe anything was faster (at least on a newer device). It's already keeping up with me and the battery life is stellar.

My Home widget disappeared from CC after the update.

Also, swiping closed an App while you have the keyboard up results in a really janky delay in dropping the keyboard after the app has been closed. Been there for some time and still not fixed in B7.

Vodafone RCS stays weird … after the update, no 5G+, RCS is fully enabled (even the Encryption Beta). In b5 and b6 - after 5G+ kicks in - it’s gone … let’s see what b7 does.

Did we all get the indexing message back? Mine was showing for 24hrs when I installed beta 6, see how long it lasts this time.

Performance, thermals & battery life improved once it finished.

The capital "A" signifies an initial .0 release, and the small "a" represents how many times the build was compiled. The fewer times a build is compiled, the more stable and ready for release it is.
As a software developer that explanation is worrying. Compilation is deterministic - you feed the same source into the same compiler and you should get identical output. If they have to compile multiple times to get it working then they have big problems. There must be more to it than that.

hmm.. why does my iPhone starts indexing even after I switched back to the old Siri (using my EU AppleID with all its Media/Purchases is much more important for me currently...
