Siri is like a cognitively challenged member of an interstellar crew. Such a potential but they keep in handcuffs and a blindfold in a fire suppressant closet at the rear of the landing capsule.

Scammer gurman strikes again 😀

He should be replaced by ai for gis “job” in bloomberg. Since he is the last person on earth who deserves his huge paycheck for only lies.

Not sure why anyone expected this before iOS 27.3 or so in December ever since Apple announced the delay last year. Their wording was very specific, for Apple. “In the coming year” means an update to the next major release.

Personally I will still be surprised to see them have a working version of what they showed at WWDC24 by the end of this year.

So Gemini is not coming to 26.5

Flippity Floppity Gurman we call him!

Siri app will respond to every question with this:

'Here's what I found on the Internet:'

I can't believe that they're still going to be using the name Siri for this - don't Apple realise that Siri is the punchline to a joke?

So yet another of this clown's guesses is wrong, er revised excuse me. When will we see water finally stopped being carried for this joker?

Lot of changes. If Apple is able to do everything that is mentioned here, then it will a huge leap forward and will definitely catch up with the competition.

It would be cool if they use the little Finder guy as an avatar for the new Siri. Better yet let's just kill Siri and replace it with Finder to unify the OS across platforms.

Gurman previously said a lot of things that are as reliable as this. Is he just a chatbot that spits out a story every seventeen minutes?

I just hope the new Siri icon isn't a paper clip. 🤣
He was recently caught having ChatGPT Hyperlinks in one if his texts. So you're not too far off. I personally have no problem with him using AI, but at least he could be honest and not lie about it afterwards on twitter.

Would be nice to be able to interact with any such chatbot just using the Messages app. Siri, Gemini, Claude, all with equal device access and control. That way these bots just become "someone else" that we chat with, rather than having to use separate apps.

And then having Messages be a "floating" app that's always available no matter which app you're using. Isn't such an experience already available on Android?

Hmm, I wonder what would happen to this app if Google decided they weren’t interested in re-upping their agreement with Apple down the line.

“Siri, brought to you by Google.”

“Gurman said… Apple…”

“Plans have changed….”

lol, plans don’t JUST change on a whim like this 🤣
