Adult content. They block it. Sure it's not something everyone wants, but my point is it's on MY phone and I should be allowed to do what I want. Instead they are doing some sort of on device monitoring. There's many subreddits about it.

Will surely be useful if it works properly. Will not be surprised if it takes a few months to launch after the first version of iOS27. Want to see Clean Up also to improve.
It’s called Nano Banana. Apple does the UI. And can’t get that right either nowadays

i hope this will not be language dependent - like current AI tools not present on half devices that do not use few of the supported languages

i imagine this is hard to do due to the on device needed for this. Still it needs a big update as currently you have to use gemimi app to do alot of these things and google photos.

In principle photo edits are non-destructive, the original is always kept as an original. Exporting an edited photo does not include the original, the image is 'printed' as it were. The original photo is only available in the Photo app database as far as I'm aware.
Let’s start with an actual working Siri! The assistant was never smart to begin with.

There used to be a time when Apple waited to do something better, now it feels like Apple just waits to do what others have been doing. Kinda sad to think Apple is just late to the game for technology advancement.
I feel like the latest for Apple is to skimp to improve the bottom line. When the market is saturated the only way to grow is nickel and dime your customers. (No headphones, chargers, cheaper operating technology, less frequent updates etc.
If you think about it, it really is crazy. When did Apple, the biggest tech company on earth, get so far behind a technology that everyone else is moving forward on. I use AI daily on my work S26 Ultra, for things as easily as asking simple questions, to as complex as ordering me an Uber without even touching the phone until I'm ready to confirm. Truly disappointing from such a company like Apple who so many of us viewed as the standard of tech companies. Lately, not so much.

Hey you all! Lower your expectations to ZERO and you are never disappointed.
I do not expect AI to be operational even in the 28 series of the operating systems. One has to wonder if there are too many chiefs and not enough Indians at Apple.
From many of the reports, stupid at the top has a way of trickling down through the ranks.
The Department that needs a major kick in the back side is Quality Control. I wonder if all those folks are on sabbatical for another year as they seem to have been missing the plot recently

Apple fall further behind in ai.
Just give back to Google all of the money that they pay for default search placement and beg for all of their ai models including image and video manipulation

I feel like we’re heading back to the dawn of the iPhone, where you went to Apple for the hardware and ux (let’s pretend that Liquid Glass doesn’t exist) with services provided by Google, because they’re best in class.
Maybe they will get it right by 2029, but I'm not counting on it.
Before Cook we used to get these surprises at WWDC that people did not expect and they mostly worked or were fixed in the coming months.

Yep, that’s true. In JPEG it would create multiple copies of a file but it won’t show those copies in Photos app unless one clicks “revert” when editing a photo. But these originals can be exported with Image Capture app on Mac. If AirDrop is chosen it will send only edited copy. HEIF is more interesting - it seems to keep all versions of a photo in a single file, so if one sends it via AirDrop it keeps original too

Apple purchased Photomator (and Pixelmator) back in February 2025. Both are good products.
Those tools included Machine Learning (ML) features, which we could assume would be marketed as “AI” features. Some of them work very well.
Surely by now, Apple would have fully integrated Photomator and its full suite of features into iOS……..

Totally! Apple was heading in a better direction when it comes to services, but Google is still ahead. I’m not upset, though—Apple is far ahead of everyone else in hardware and UX, and I like that they keep doing so well there.
