It will be worth it for the keyboard update alone.
Having experienced far better keyboards on the various Android models I have owned, I do agree that this will be a welcome change.

However that's only "IF" Apple actually makes meaningful improvements. Where once one could be rather confident that Apple would get the job done, in recent times things are less certain. The Cupertino companies decisions seem rather random. Liquid Glass comes to mind, as well as years and years of struggle with Siri. Not to mention the debacle that is Apple Intelligence.

It would be nice to see a return to efficient, enjoyable to use software. Hello Apple?

I know it was supposed to be optimisation but honestly 26.4 seems to have fixed all the issues surrounding Liquid Glass. I’ve found it the most stable release on a 12 Pro, 16e and M1 iPad Pro. No longer does it judderlading the App Library or struggle to cache transparent icons.

The rest sounds nice. I’m interested to know what they’re doing with WatchOS. Running Apples foundational models on device on a Watch is a long way off but giving it direct Siri access when on 5G away from an iPhone would be brilliant.

Looking forward to seeing all the changes. Hopefully Siri and Apple Intelligence will have useful features and work correctly from day 1. Satellite features will be limited to US. Will be nice if the iPhone 12 series get the update.

The nutrition information could be useful but how they implement it is critical.

For example, if I am allergic to something, I'd want to be positively alerted that the product contains the allergens that affect me, or those I am buying for.

If I were a vegetarian, a vegan, a follower of some religions, I'd want to be alerted if there are any "forbidden" ingredients.

There are things some people hate - like cilantro/coriander (which I like) and caraway (which I detest) - and I want to be alerted if it contains the ones I've said I hate!

I want it to work whether or not there I have a connection. In many shops, there simply is no connection available.

I do not want to be told, ad nauseam, the "good" and "bad" cholesterol content of the item.

I want it to work in all markets, not somehow be USA-only.

I want it to understand labels in multiple languages. While the UK has formal requirements for labels to be in English, I want to be able to use this wherever I am, wherever the food came from.

If true, this update is laughable. The only thing worth mentioning is keyboard improvement.

I couldn't care less about a Siri app.

This whole transparency thing is a disaster. Liquid Glass has been a failure since launch with it's bugs and choppy animations.

"Mac OS X Snow Leopard" Approach to Bug Fixes
Not going to happen. Gurman said this in November when he thought Siri was coming in iOS 26.4 and there would be little new to iOS 27. And he has been wrong for the last two years on almost everything. His track record just tanked as of late and his guesses carry no weight. He needs new sources.

The focus on multitasking changes for foldables, Gemini integration with Apple Intelligence, and the rework of Siri are going to introduce sooooo many more bugs. Apple may have a focus on slimming down their code to be less RAM hungry, but there is zero change iOS 27 will have less bugs than iOS 26.

Where's the Dex-like functionality? Why is it 2026 and they're behind on this? I've got USB-C hubs/keyboard/mouse/monitors everywhere. This could easily give me a iPadOS-like desktop so I can do work with it.
I haven't used Dex, but, what is it that it gives you that is so useful?

we need better SIRI and Apple Inteligence in more languages - Slovak, Czech, Polish, Slovenian, Croatian, Serbian, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Greek and more - yes we exist and we buy product which we cannot fully use because of this

I’ll take , ‘things that we didn’t ask for for $1,000$ Alex! Do better Apple, many of us are considering other brands.

The best thing Apple has going for it in 2026 is US government intervention into the economy to block Chinese competition.

I’d like to see what Apple would create if forced to compete on the merits instead of lobbying for economic protectionism.

I can hardly wait to experience ad with Apple Maps and all the other things that will get broken, moved, or otherwise compromised. Not "upgrading" until I am forced to do so. Been stiffed enough on the "amazing" new iPhone 17 Pro camera quality.
