I hope the issue is a software issue and this fixes it. I like MY iPhone. I don't want to have to get a new one due to a recall. Even though I haven't had the reception issue yet.

Agreed. It's a HARDWARE design problem, not software!!

I ordered on the 15th and it's still not shipped yet and i'm not really sure if i even want it anymore. I am extremely disappointed.

I don't really want to use a case or rubber bumper on my phone however I was having some problems accessing internet on 3G and making some calls. So I bought a slip on rubber case kind of like the Apple bumper and it didn't help all that much. I still seem to always have about 3 bars everywhere. I did find a time I had all 5 bars and ran a speediest.net and it came back with:

3.19Mbps download
1.22Mbps upload
2357 ping

Then I ran the test while hold it like I would naturally hold the phone, the bars dropped down to 1 or 2 and I got these results.

0.47Mbps download
0.08Mbps upload
2412 ping

Now this was with the new bumper case off of the phone, which is how I want to use the phone. I'm no expert and do not know anything about how these phones work but whatever the issue is, it's definitely interrupting my service. I posted these results for informational purposes but I can see there's definitely something going on that shouldn't be. I hope this can be fixed by a software fix and we'll see.

Which is probably what they will do, then everyone will swear Apple fixed the problem when they really didn't.

If it hardware, they can give everyone free bumpers.
