iOS 4.1 GM to iOS 4.1 OFFICIAL - HOW?

If I have the 4.1 GM and the official is released what do I do to get the official release? I know it MAY be the same but when it is released tomorrow I want to make sure I install the OFFICIAL release..........
 
What if u delete the gm image from ur computer and do a restore will that dl the official 4.1

generally the gm is the same version as the released version. However if it is not then plug your phone into itunes and press restore and it will download 4.1 and reinstall.
and i am talking about when 4.1 officially comes out
 
GM = Golden master = EXACT same firmware released to the public, it cannot expire.

no. the 4.0 GM and final release were different. anything is subject to change. It will most likely be the same but it could be different just watch your tech sites tomorrow when it comes it to see if they report that it is different.

4.0 GM and 4.0 public release had the exact same build number. I can't remember any instance where this has not been the case.

the 4.0 gm had game center where the official version did not. i believe the update file was 50 megabytes different from the gm and the official version. they did however carry the same build number

restore is the only way i can think of... just click restore in itunes once 4.1 comes out or shift/alt click restore once the ipsw hits the net
 
Yeah iOS 4.0 was a Gold master candidate as well, and it turned out to be the same iOS4.0 that shipped later

nope jobs said it would be released this week not a specific date

all you need to do if you got gm version is just hit restore and let iTunes download the ipsw and just unplug the iphone whilst it downloads the firmware and you now have a backup...... simples

theres no doubt in my mind the GM is the same as official release personally but hey
