Since upgrading a 3g S to from iOS 4.02 to 4.1, I can no longer get contacts to sync from the phone to Google.
Synching from Google contacts to the phone works.
Calendar synching works in both directions.
I've tried everything including deleting and reinstalling Google Sync all to know avail.
Has anybody else had the problem?

There are setting in iTunes 10. Under info, contacts under advanced tab. Just make sure you have the right settings. I called apple support and that's what they told me. It works now. I had the same issue. Let me know if this works.

Thanks for responding but this relates to synching via iTunes whereas I'm synching via Google Sync (Microsoft Exchange) and iTunes doesn't have anything to do with it.

Problem solved!

In my iPhone and iPad, change the default to Google.sync and any new entries (or changes) will also update your Google contacts. To do this go to Settings on your iPhone, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars. There is a Contacts section near the bottom. Select Google.sync as the default.
