J Jonmurgie macrumors member Jun 29, 2010 #3 VERY unlikely to be 4.1 IMO, would most probably be 4.0.1
colmaclean macrumors 68000 Jun 29, 2010 #5 Wouldn't developers get a look at it before the public release?

I ianray macrumors 6502 Jun 29, 2010 #7 The next release will be a bug fix release: 4.0.1. When 4.1 eventually comes along it will offer new features. This pattern can be seen at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IOS_version_history 🙂

This is more of a hotfix, although it is big, it's considered a minor update, so would be labelled as 4.01
