Apple enthusiast site 9to5Mac is reporting that the new iOS 4.2 for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch will be publicly available sometime between 9 ? 12 of November 2010. They have received conflicting reports from two German based websites who are claiming to have received this information individually.

According to Inside-Handy.de, iOS 4.2 will be available via iTunes this Tuesday, on November 9, 2010. They have reportedly got this bit of news from a representative working at Deutsche Telekom.

Another German blog named iFun has discovered a link which reveals the release date of iOS 4.2 as Friday, November 12 2010 (as seen in the screenshot above).

As always, we will notify you all as soon as iOS 4.2 hits iTunes sometime this week. Stay tuned for that !

The GM version is already available to developers (and people who know how to Google), and in the past Apple has released the final version to the public within two weeks of releasing the GM version, so we technically have a release window between Nov 8th - Nov 19th.
