So a bit of a group experiment here - when do you think iOS 4.2 will be released? The current word from Apple is "November", but when in November? I want you to make a guess as to which week and then we'll see how close we got to the real date.

Change the title to read 4.2 not 4.3. Anyway, I'm thinking (guessing) the 22-28. Right near Turkey day for us Americans.

Uhhh, what button do I need to push? Can't figure out how to change the poll (shouldn't post tired I guess).

Oh, and my money is on the first week of November. Just a gut feeling.

I'm hoping for the first week because it's closer but I will wait to make sure that they get it as close as perfect as they can

Thanksgiving is 28th? I wonder if that makes it more likely to be either the week before or the week after (Sunday 31st so as to keep the November promise). Presumeably Apple normally get a spike in support calls after a new iOS release, especially a major one like this, and staffing the support teams over Thanksgiving must be difficult and/or expensive (holiday overtime rates?) so maybe they will take steps to avoid pushing out a release at a time when it is likely to cause the spike over the holiday weekend.

So why post in it, and not just ignore it? People annoy me.

Anyway I voted the 22nd-28th but I was stuck between that and the last option. Apple loves to wait til the last minute for these releases. I'm more curious about when they are actually going to announce a date. Lol

Firstly, if you don't like it you can always leave.

Secondly, these forums are full of speculative threads, so why can't we speculate about a release date for a long awaited software update? Plus it's always interesting to see what and how other people think and to see how close the majority is to the real date.

    What's seculative bro?

And btw you should add an option to the poll saying sometime next year, as iOS 4.3 won't be out for a while

It's when a speculative act borders on religion :D

And it's a typo that I can't figure out how to undo.
