You guys think that the JB for Redsnow is buggy? I think I'm going to re-JB using pwnage tool instead and see if that'll help bring back my apps from cydia, such as lockinfo, winterboard, barrel, sbsettings, and etc.
What do you guys think?

Has anyone found a 'battery' app that lets you see the battery percentage in the top right instead of the icon? It's the only thing I have remaining from my 4.1.2 set up that I haven't found yet. The various ones I have tried do not work properly.

Thanks!

You can do this with springtomize, which so far is working for me on 4.3.1.
Just enable the parentage in usage, then open up springtomize settings and hide the battery icon.

installed fine? i can't get it to install. it keeps telling me

"the requested modifications cannot be applied due to required dependencies or conflicts that cannot be automatically found or fixed"

i reinstalled "Mobile Substrate" hoping that would fix it. any ideas on this?

I get the same thing with most of the other apps that can't install with the same msg....

i0n1c tweeted a bit ago that the jailbreak isn't to blame. 4.3 itself is what broke many apps.

I see, thx for the much needed info....so do we just wait for a fix or are we stuck with this? My iP4 is looking very much like a plain iP4 now like every other non JB iP4.:( I hope that there will be a resolution for this soon.

go to Settings > General > Usage >turn on percentage?

That turns on the percentage, but I'm hoping to also remove the battery icon that displays the amount of battery left in green color.

Thanks! I'll try this.

Inspell and Snappy are not working either.

Inspell and its dependencies won't install. At least it tells you this in Cydia.

Snappy does not open the camera shutter just sits there at a black screen. First time I used it, it crashed my phone and I had to do a cold start.

This is what you get for being an early adopter.

Funny how the JB apps are more brittle than the official app store apps are.

C'mon devs update your apps. I paid good money for them!!

Bluetooth Profile Selector doesn't seem to work with 4.3.1. It can't seem to read the com.apple.MobileBluetooth.services.plist file. I'm going to try to edit the file manually to see if I can reproduce the functionality I had before.

I use it to disable A2DP, which is handy for certain headsets and car kits when you only want to use the headset or handsfree profiles.

This is why Apple curates the app store and only allows public API's to be used. A lot of the Cydia apps/tweaks are using private API's among other tricks that change from FW to FW.

Same happens to me. I JB with pwnage, and at Cydia I cant find anymore Sbsettings, Iblacklist. With Lockinfo, samething happens, find it baut cant download it.

Anyone can help?

PkgBackup Worked fine for me

Hey All,

Was previously using greenpois0n RC5 on the 4.2.1 untethered jb.

I just downloaded the IPSW for 4.3.1 directly from Apple's server and simply updated my 32GB iPhone 4. Once complete, I booted to DFU and ran redsn0w (latest version).

From here, I opened Cydia (which at first displayed as the dreaded white icon from the tethered 4.2.1 days). I simply installed PkgBackup and the additional files necessary, ran it and it reinstalled all of my old apps. I haven't tested everything for functionality. I'm also not using MyWi as ATT seems to know what you're doing either way now.

This was the fastest and least annoying way to update from 4.2.1 untethered JB to 4.3.1 of the same flavor. My buddy botched his (his hosts file was still set to Cydia from running untethered 4.1/4.2) and had a headache on his hands. He ended up restoring to 4.3.1 without any apps before realizing what was going on with the host file. Unfortunately, he had to reinstall all his apps, music, etc. Not fun.

Hope this helps.

Bummer -- hopefully the developer updates this. Another reason for me to hold off updating, given 4.2.1 is working fine for me right now.

Yeah. I meant 5 row keyboard.

Which 5-Row is not working? The one by Hikaru? Or another one? I use the Hikaru one all the time. Also wondering if ashikase's ShowCase works or not...

Probably going to hold off on 4.3.1 right now. I have 4.1 installed, but I've been itching to upgrade so I can use some apps that require 4.2+.

Soo far, for me, I have these installed and working fine:
Activatior
biteSMS
iFile
Infinifolders
The Notified Pro Beta
RetinaAppIcons
Safari Download Manager
Springtomize (parts don't work though)
3G Unrestrictor

Notified Pro isn't working properly, when you swipe down to see the notifications panel it takes you into the Notified app instead.
