iOS 4.3.5 with firmware 04.10.01 ????

I know this might have been asked a million times but theres so many different answers and I can't seem to figure it out. I want to unlock my iPhone 4 to send to a friend in Greece, is there any way that it can be done without using that gevey sim card? If i update to iOS5 tomorrow will i be able to do it then? Thanks for your help.

GEVEY is the only way to unlock a 4 right now. There has not been any software unlocks for quite some time and I don't anticipate being any soon. Even less anticipation with iOS5 since it carries a new baseband 04.11.08 I think.

No, only with Gevey now on 4.3.5
If you update to official 5.0 then gevey will be useless and wont work to unlock.
So then you will have zero options to unlock.

No other way but what we mentioned above.
Basebands on the i4 cannot be downgraded.

Baseband can't be downgraded. So, Gevey sim is your only option for now.
