I don't know if anyone else will find this annoying but it seems when someone sends me a text message that they also had set to be sent to others it's grouping that message in an entirely new group and it now includes all the numbers of the other contacts who that person sent the message to and I don't even know them lol.

Seems pointless to do this as I don't contact any of her other friends she sent the message to.

Any idea why they changed this?

Thats actually not new I don't think. My Verizon iPhone has that. I didn't realize it at first either so I texted a bunch of random people.

Not sure what the pattern is, but yeah this has been around for a while. Caused some serious problems for me a while back, not sure the how or why of it.

Turn off the feature that is called Group Messaging.

You will still be able to send to a long list, but individuals on your list will not be able to automatically reply to your list.

Group Messaging can be useful if you want to engage a number of people in the same running conversation.

If you do not intend to be doing that, it can be more annoying than helpful.
