hopefully it won't be the case but it could be like the iPad where the OS' didn't get unified until 4.2

with any luck the next incremental release (4.3.X) will include support for the VZW iPhone

I don't know how it can be that big of a problem since they developed 4.3 to work with the Verizon and AT&T iPad 2.

I waited 4 years for the Verizon iPhone. I'm willing to wait a little extra for an iOS update. I have faith in Apple's decision to hold off on 4.3 for Verizon no matter what the reason was.

Can anyone confirm whether the developer beta of iOS 4.3 can be installed on the Verizon iPhone? Just curious.

Get on a real carrier (ATT)

All those on Verizon, shut your pie holes and stop whining. Imagine trying to Facetime on Verizon's network. Anyways, can't wait for iOS 4.3 and watch my homemade movies from within my photos bin. Yum yum! ;)

Thank you for your completely irrelevant post. So... what exactly are you talking about?? What does FaceTime have to do with 4.3? Nothing at all... it is already there. And your movies..? The phone already records video and plays from your Photos app... Again, nothing to do with 4.3.

So, moving beyond your idiocy... I'm mostly interested in the faster Safari, though I do find it strange that the CDMA version was completely omitted from the discussion. Not even a "soon" comment or anything.

They will probably have both phone updates even when 5.0 comes out. Didn't they have this problem when the 1st iPad was released? They didn't get multitasking till after the iPhone got it and now the are on the same release.

my guess is we will find out if iOS 4.3 is coming to verzion iPhone or not on March 11 when the gold master is sent to developers?!

Who cares about 4.3 at this point. We should all be waiting/excited for the iOS 5 announcement. After that announcement is when we're suppose to all be disappointed.
