I care about 4.3 and being able to tether because I've decided against JB'ing my phone.
Seriously, what are you talking about?
Even if iOS 4.3 had anything to do with FaceTime you still can't use FaceTime over cellular networks so it really doesn't matter if you are on Verizon or AT&T.
All those on Verizon, shut your pie holes and stop whining. Imagine trying to Facetime on Verizon's network. Anyways, can't wait for iOS 4.3 and watch my homemade movies from within my photos bin. Yum yum!

Absolutely ridiculous. Verizon customers pay the SAME exact price for their phones with less useful features (better coverage and connection though) and are shafted of an update?? Seems the only RIGHT thing Apple should do is release it simultaneously or not at all. I have been a customer/Mac Addict of apple since the early 80's. Were it not for the quality of the product (minus the pathetic life duration of its MacBook Pro battery)... I would have dumped this company a LONG LONG LONG time ago. This is just the icing on the cake.

Once again a thread of self righteousness. Were you all praising Apple when they opened up the wireless hotspot functionality early for Verizon? Show some patience and remember this is a phone, not a life or death situation. You will get to use airplay soon when they release 4.3 for CDMA and you will most likely find that it is just eh. Oh wait, no you will just find something new to complain about. Nevermind.

Doesn't the Verizon iPhone have WiFi hotspot included in the 4.2.x version of iOS that it shipped with?

It is not about paying the same for something and getting less. Before 4.3 was released, those (myself included) paid the same for the Verizon version and got MORE. If you don't like that you have to now wait for Airplay, then sell your iPhone and go back to AT&T. You have not offered any concept to comprehend other than that of a whiny little bitch who needs the latest and greatest shiny thingamabob that they probably wont use. Tell me exactly what it is about 4.3 that makes it that much better than 4.2.6 that you have to get on here and whine like a kid at the candy store that was just told "NO"? Now if apple releases 4.3.6 and it adds a popcorn making function to Verizon and AT&T has to wait for 5.0 to get the popcorn making function, I fully expect to see you on here praising Apple for taking care of Verizon people. Please don't bother replying to this because I get really tired having to dumb down to your level to continue this ridiculous thread. All questions asked are purely rhetorical. btw, i think i have an explanation for this but i'm not sure as i don't work for Apple.
when Apple made iOS4 for the iPhone 4, they made it for the GSM phone.
they had to rewrite the code, or part of it, for the CDMA version, and they likely (and i'm 99% sure on this) have a different team working on that build.
what i do think will happen with iOS5
they will code the OS in a way so they can issue updates for both pieces of hardware at the same time.
perhaps including code for the CDMA and GSM version on the same build. oh but wait, then we'll see posts such as "why is the update so heavy, blah blah blah"
You can use Facetime of Cellular network if you JB though
yep...and I use it all the time on my Verizon iphone and it's very clear.
It is may, I just bought my iPhone ( Verizon) and I guess I did not do my homework well enough, no 4.3 bummer.
I would still have bought Verizon ( like the unlimited data) but bummed no home sharing.
