Is anyone having a problem with the 4.0 software and their email? It shows all my messages, but when I try to open an email, it's blank. I've tried deleting my accounts, and recreating them several times, using both the "Gmail" auto setup option, and the "other" option. I've verified all the advanced options also.

Getting old emails as new

I haven't had that issue but after several weeks of normal function, I suddenly get my inbox filled with very old emails marked as unread. New incoming email seems to show up but then disappears once read (sometimes). This just started all of the sudden. Only recent change was a trip to another time zone and a switch to a tethered plan (but both were a bit before things got screwy).

Been happening to me also. I'll get an email and it just says from sender and the date is marked as like 12/31/69 or something. And it'll stay there until I check my email via the actual website then go away. I have tried everything I know to make it stop, but to no avail.

I don't have this problem but my roommate does.

I don't know if it makes any difference but when I put my old iphone stuff on my new iphone I just restored my new iphone 4 from my old iphone backup. He restored everything from scratch I believe (re-installed all applications and re did his settings). His has been having this problem pretty much since he got the new iphone 4 (neither of us installed iOS4 on our old 3G's).

(it may help you guys to figure out what a common thread is between people who are having this problem).

I get this once in a great while even when I had my 3G. So far on my iP4 I think it happened once and it was on vacation.

Have mine set up through exchange, its been 100% reliable thus far.

Speed is far and away better than MobileMe. MobileMe was just so slow, plus it would spin on connecting forever.

I have relegated MobileMe to contacts, favorites, calendar, and find my iPhone. Gmail all the way.
