Has anyone experienced this glitch, I have iphone 4s, and now that the new ios 5 has the first weather city as your local city, the weather is usually off by a lot sometimes.

I wake up today morn at 5:30am, dark outside and the weather app says it is 37 and bright daylight. Not that I need to look at my phone to get my weather, but it does affect what i wear when i workout. I know i could use any of the myriad weather apps, but this has not been a problem before.

I also have a couple of other cities i check weather for and they all seem to have some error confusing daylight with night and sometimes temperatures are way off when compared to the weather channel at same time. My iphone 4 used to work perfectly fine without a problem even when it was on ios 5.0

Does anyone have this problem or noticed it ?

Yepp, here too.

The forecast seems all right, but the actual temperature shows +4C, but in reality it's below -6C. It works fine for my next location, but not the one where it locates itself.

I deactivated the widget. Hope it'll be fixed sometime soon.

Greetz!

Edit: I'm on an iphone 4 with the latest ios 5.

Same thing happening to me. It will randomly show some seemingly cached temperature and forecast. A few times force closing and re-opening the weather app gives me the correct info.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

Weather is a major consideration for most everyone. Around here, national weather stations are along the coast. Major difference between coastal weather and inland weather. Hard to find a service that computes from local sources.

Yep, a couple of times a week Weather app shows nite as day or vice versa in 2 of my 5 cities & not always the same 2 cities. It's happening right now, AAMOF.

I've had the same thing, but my list of cities tends to always be ok, but "local weather" is off
sometimes the day will be correct, but the temp is something from that afternoon, and if i open the hourly, it'll start from several hours ago.
i've also had other time where it's 3 or 4 days behind. so it's saturday, but the forecast starts on wednesday.

check out Weather Bug
iphone
ipad

I set it to my home town and gave up on the local readings for now. For one its much quicker updating when pulled down, with local its takes upwards of 10+ seconds.

Thanks! Found it on the iPhone, but not on my iPad - apparently, there isn't a weather widget. Either that, or I've already somehow deleted it.

Ahhh... That explains a lot! Thanks for the info. Meanwhile, I've got WeatherBug Elite on my iPHone and WeatherBug for iPad. Uses an airport only three miles away for data. Very good!

Mine will not display the days correctly sometimes. It will say today's weather (let's assume it's a monday) then next day it will show is Thursday. Nothing about Tuesday and Wednesday.

from what i've seen the thursday is last thursday, not next.
so monday (today) is in the middle of the list, but the forecast is several days old.

Yea, when I have similar issues as the OP with my weather app, doing this usually corrects the problem for me as well.

Check out the app "Living Earth" - not only does it give you local weather and a 6-day forecast, but it also has a (nearly) real-time incredible satellite view of the Earth as a planet that spins at a touch, shows night and day transitions, city lights (at night), cloud formations, snow areas, and you can selecte places to monitor. At a touch, the Earth rotates to a center a pin at your location. It's absolutely amazing! I love it. :D:D

I wish we had a choice of providers; not a fan of Yahoo! weather. Used to be you could just get your own favorite weather app, but now with Yahoo! integrated into Siri it's even more of an issue.

I woke up on a Friday, checked the weather app- but it said Saturday.

I thought, "Why does it say that? Is it really Saturday?"

I waited about 10 minutes.

It went back to Friday. True story!

Seems to like to think it is Saturday . . . even if it is not . But only for some cities. stange bug - I assume a Yahoo problem.

Knew it was odd because I have several cities in the app. So I swiped to check.

It was only my city. So, yes a Yahoo problem.

I had it. I fixed it by changing ferinheight to celcius. Make sure yours had the proper degree type
Hope this helps
