I'll have to say, I'm not really happy with it's stability. I got over 5 safari crashes in 30 minutes of browsing. Sometimes I press the power button on my BRAND NEW iPod, and the screen flickers on for only a split second. Photos app crashed while publishing a vid to YouTube, and the keyboard lags in safari every time I type a word. This is software, folks. This stuff happens to OTHER OS's. Not Apple! When you pay more for a better product, you expect it to be more. My Point- WILL IT GET FIXED? SOMEONE WITH THE BETA OF IOS 5.1 TELL ME PLEASE... I love Apple's stuff, but I'm thinking less of my iPod now. My iPod is so new, it came with iOS 5.0.1 at the Apple store.

Perhaps what you think is a software issue is, in fact, a hardware one; your iPod touch might be faulty. Since it's so new, you should contact Apple to get them to troubleshoot the issue.

I don't know... I've used other new iPods with the same problem. My iPods diagnostics look fine.

No jailbreak. Most everything else works fine. I try to use my iPod lightly, though it makes little difference in performance.

This is why I no longer update Apple devices for several weeks. They always seem to cause more problems than they solve.

I hope 5.1 is better because 5.0.1 was complete garbage on my Touch. I just bought the thing in December 2011 and it was sluggish and sometimes had Safari and apps crash. Too early to tell if it is better or not.

I can say that for me, iOS 5.1 Is WAY better Than 5.0.1 on a brand new touch. Upgrade now if you can.
