iPhone IOS 5.1 Keep Wifi Alive App (Without JB)

Is there an app out there that will keep my Iphone's Wifi alive while it is asleep? Whenever I wake my Iphone I see "3G" then it changes back to Wifi...I need Wifi all the time.

Yes yes yes I have heard of Insomnia, but I would rather not Jailbreak my phone.

Why isnt an app similar to Insomnia on the appstore?

Is it illegal/against policies to make an app like this?

i agree. i work in a wifi environment, i always have data off so everything is pushed through wifi. the only thing i would not get is if someone sends me an mms or a group mms

tune in radio app streams even while the screen is locked.

its one work around .. stream nature sounds or classical music ..


what about a chat and messaging client? there might be one that constantly pings the network and keep the wifi connection alive.

the public wifi at work constantly disconnects me and streaming music keeps it alive

jailbreaking seems to be a better option to me.. though i highly doubt insomnia still works.. does it??
