Rumor has it that Apple is going to push 5.1 out on March 9th. If you have not saved your 5.0 or 5.0.1 blobs, better do it soon for all your jb iDevices.

Just a heads up.

Sorry, I was under the impression that this was done automatically through Cydia, correct?

Sorry to be a noob, but I think I've saved my SHSH via TinyUmbrella. How will I use this for 5.1?

FYI, you currently can't downgrade a 4S, but if you have your blobs and have a 4, you can downgrade. But it's still a good idea to save your blobs on a 4S in case they find a way to downgrade a 4S.

save shsh... for what? they haven't found a way to downgrade... plus cydia has my blobs for 5.0.1

From the tinyumbrella website

Is there a step-by-step tutorial on how to use TinyUmbrella?

iPhone 4S + Win 7 x64

Thanks.

i would take this rumor like all other rumors it might or might not happen on that exact date. depends on how the rest of the betas and gm turn out.

I didn't say it did but he is telling us to save our blobs and if anyone should know what they're doing, wouldn't it be him? Better safe than sorry

I'm not trying to be anti-tinyumbrella but now that downgrade is out of the question, I think his software has no value whatsoever... so I'd rather not update than to save my blobs...

I hope he releases tinyrestore someday

Not sure you understand how it works. You save your blobs so that if/when you are forced to upgrade to do a restore, you can downgrade back to where you were and have your blobs.

Yeah exactly. Using tinyumbrella to save your blobs doesn't mean you have to update. I'm certainly not going to. Until there's a JB.
