Why is it taking forever for Apple to release iOS 5.1? It has been in beta form for a long time.

Does anyone know what new features it will add? And if it'll release for iPad at the same time?

Maybe because it was the holiday season? Apple's been on break since Dec 22nd.

No, Apple would never release for multiple devices at the same time.

Where's the sarcasm formatting on here?

Maybe they're taking longer in order to close the JB hole on 5.0.1 founded by Pod2G.

Yeah I hope they do release it soon too. But I'd rather they fix any bugs they are trying to fix completely then half fixing them and trying to release it quickly.

With that said, I expect them to make the release after they make there next "big" product release. iPad 3

Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson would know. He's pretty much the world's most eminent authority on time.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

The last beta was released on Dec. 12. It's been a while. I wonder if we'll see another beta this week.

Well, I'm sure we'll see the 5.0.1 hole closed for jailbreaking purposes in 5.1.
