Here are two screenshots I jsut took, it works pretty well, but is even better on the my iPad as it doesn't open up a new screen on the iPad.

And Here is the definition (Notice how small the scroll bar is, there is a lot of information for the words):

Thanks haphadon! BTW, it is offline right?

You can now do stuff, while syncing over usb. "Syncing, Slide to cancel" is gone.

Has anyone noticed an update to group messaging/email? Current implementation is dreadfully inadequate for those who have large groups of people they email/SMS/mms regularly. There is no way to save groups, and adding people to a group message only allows you to do it one at a time by pushing the + button each time. My five year old Sanyo M1 feature phone had better implementation of this, and since Apple wants to continue moving toward the more professional crowd, this is something that needs to be addressed.

Edit: I know there are third party apps that handle this, and ABContacts does a pretty good job of it, but by now it should be implemented in the native OS.

I just tried it while on airplane mode and the dictionary worked. So yes I guess it is offline! :)

Also, can you "quick reply" to messages from the Notification Center without going into the Messages app itself?

No.

That's a shame. The graphical layout of this update reminds me a lot of MobileNotifier, and with Peter Hajas working at Apple now and MobileNotifier having this functionality, I wouldn't be surprised if it is added later.

I like the ability to start composing a text from any app that I get with Tlert also. Hopefully Apple adds this in as well.

When you create a reminder to alert you "At a location" the location feature (compass dial next to battery) remains on continuously. This makes sense, as it needs to know where you are in order to alert you, but this seems like a potential battery drain...

I noticed this when my alarm went off.

It's nothing new, but nice to see that all sorts of notifications are getting the iOS5 treatment.

I had wondered about how they would do this. I was definitely hoping for it to check maybe every 5 minutes or so if the previous check had said you were nowhere near the location (>5 miles or something) you specified in your reminder, and more often if you were close to it.

Thanks for the screenshot. I use the phone as my alarm so I need to know if it works :p

Emoji are available without wierd hacks/apps.

You can just enable it directly by adding it as an additional keyboard. True for both iPhone 4 and iPad 2 (not tested elsewhere).

Didn't see this listed yet: When you are in the Camera app you can slide to the left and it goes to your current photo gallery, then slide back to the right and it goes back to the live camera view.

Is there an option to disable iCloud syncing over 3G? I'm scared I'd go over my 200 MB limit.

Nice catch!

can you make new folders in the photos app now?
and can you also delete photos in your synced pictures from the iphone?

Anybody been able to add location to a picture or link tweet? Mine isn't working (location services are on).
